Trescaras began with a call for people from Live Action Role Play (LARP) communities. (While gamers assume invented characters within the virtual realm of online platforms, LARP communities physically enact characters in a live yet fictional setting.) The artist’s call was to form a collective laboratory in which to test, develop, reinterpret, and give new direction to Colombian supervillain Snowflame, featured in New Guardians – #2 Blow in the Wind by DC Comics.

Cold in Colombia (2015) is a fragmented and fragile reinterpretation of a long-repressed film artifact in the annals of Colombian cinema: Kalt in Kolumbien, a 1985 Colombian-German production that resulted in the deaths of the director, Dietrich Schidor, and the producer, Víctor Nieto Jr. Covered by a legacy of infamy and tragedy, the film premiered in 1985, at the Toronto Film Festival and was screened a year later at the Berlinale.
